| CLASSROOM RULES FOR HIGH SCHOOL BAND
1. Students will be expected to take their musical instruments home on
a regular basis to practice on assignments.
2. Students will take care with the instrument that has been issued to
them. Any repairs due to excessive damage to the instrument because of
abuse of the instrument or improper care, will be the responsibility of
the student, and/or parents.
3. The band members will work as a team.
4. Students will come to band class with musical instrument and music
that has been issued to them and be ready for rehearsal.
5. No food or gum are allowed in the classroom, or while playing a musical
instrument.
6. Students will be on time to class.
7. The restroom will be used in a timely manner. This is not a place to
waste time from class.
8. During rehearsal, all students should not talk to other students. There
are times that the director will need to help a few students, or maybe
one student with a problem, and other students need to respect this students
needs.
9. No students should be playing their instrument between songs on an
individual basis unless they are asked to do so by the director.
10. All students will show respect for one another, and to the teacher
at all times.
11. Students will stay in their seats and not be getting up and moving
to other areas without permission.
12. If a student has a question, they are asked to raise their hand rather
than shouting across the room.
13. Students are asked to enter the auditorium using the center isle so
that instrument cases will not damage the walls.
14. Students will be expected to be present at all performances.
15. Students will wear their band shirts properly when asked to. Shirts
will be tucked in for all performances.
16. The key word for this band needs to be "PRIDE".
